Dudley Edmondson

About me

Dudley Edmondson has spent the last 19 years as a freelance photographer, photographing nature and wildlife subject around the country. Many of his images have graced the pages of natural history publications around the world from the U.S to Australia. Today his work has taken on a new dimension and encompasses so much more. Today he has added people to his regular list of subjects. Dudley feels that as a photographer his camera provides a tool for shaping the opinions of others. He is particularly interested in influencing the way ethnically diverse people see themselves and the way the world sees them .

Dudley proudly carries on a family tradition started by his great grandfather Monteith Vance who was a portrait photographer and issued a license by the state of North Carolina in 1919.

When he’ s not behind a camera you can often find him outdoors cycling, kayaking, skiing, hiking or trail running.

Dudley is a member of Canon Professional Services and shoots all Canon gear. Dudley is also a Member of the North American Nature Photographer Association and makes his home in Duluth, Minnesota where he moved nearly 20 years ago specifically to become a Photographer.
